Description
The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is an advanced successor to the F/A-18C/D. Additional fuel tanks were added to increase the flight range. The fuselage was extended by 86 cm, and fuel was also loaded into the vertical stabilizer. The weight increase was compensated for by the increased thrust of the engine, and the intake was also enlarged to accommodate the engine change.
The parallelogram-shaped intake is one of the aircraft's distinctive features. The aircraft structure was significantly changed, with the wings extended and the wing area increased to increase lift, but other than that, only some of the electronics and power supply systems were updated, and the model is shared with the F/A-18C/D.
The kit features a moderately satisfying part configuration and sharp panel line engraving. The accessories under the main wings include drop tanks (x4), AIM-9X (x2), AMRAAM (x2), and a targeting pod.
