Description
The Porsche 911 is a high-end sports car manufactured by the German automobile manufacturer Porsche. The first generation was marketed in 1964, entirely designed by the Stuttgart firm. Sixty years later, this model, emblematic of the brand, has retained its general aesthetic. It is still produced and marketed in its latest version, the Porsche 911 type 992. The architecture of the engine remains unchanged, a flat-six, arranged in a rear overhang.
The 911 has, to date, eight generations. The old models are among the most sought-after sports cars by collectors. On May 11, 2017, Porsche celebrated the millionth Porsche 911 produced by the brand.
The particular and original shape of the headlights common to all models earned the 911 the nickname "frog". Only the 996 version deviates from the rule with headlights similar to those of the Porsche Boxster.
