Little Armory - LA012 M79 Type 1/12
Description
Little Armory is a 1/12 scale assembly kit series that combines realism with movable figures. The sixth installment in the series is themed around the grenade launcher, an indirect support weapon that significantly increases the firepower of infantry!
A break-type single-shot grenade launcher adopted by the US Army in 1960 and deployed in the Vietnam War. It was used as an indirect support weapon to bridge the gap between grenades and mortars, and 350,000 were produced.
Even after the adoption of the M203 grenade launcher that can be mounted on a rifle, it continues to be used by explosive ordnance disposal teams and some special forces to deal with IEDs. There is also a "sawed-off" version with a shortened stock and barrel, and it attracted attention again when a model with a red dot sight attached was used by the Navy Special Forces DEVGRU.
