Imaginary Skeleton Tyrannosaurus T-Rex 1/32
Description
Imagining life from the ancient memories of fossils
Approximately 35cm in length. This 1/32 scale model incorporates the latest theories and scientific findings, allowing you to experience the assembly of a skeletal specimen. The model depicts
the posture of the body bent at the moment of leaping, showing how the abdominal bones (abdominal ribs) twist and fit tightly together with the skin.
The three bones are tightly joined and reinforced, faithfully reproducing the special instep that supported a weight of nearly 10 tons.
The furcula, located at the base of the shoulder that supports the short but powerful arms, reproduces the traces of a stress fracture caused by a strong impact. The traces of the holes through which nerves passed in the lips are also reproduced with the precision unique to plastic models.
The tooth marks caused by biting with the lower jaw teeth are also reproduced on the upper jaw part.
The long tail, which serves as both a weapon and maintains the body's center of gravity, has small bones connected to the tip, and its delicate shape is also expressed.
A base is included that reproduces plants from the Cretaceous period. Fine details are applied to each and every leaf.
A separate booklet of explanatory materials supervised by dinosaur expert Kyoichi Tomita is included.
