[B6] Harrier GR. Mk.3 1/72
Description
The BAe (British Aerospace) Harrier GR Mk.3
is a Royal Air Force V/STOL attack aircraft. V/STOL
stands for Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing, and
refers to an aircraft that can take off and land vertically or in a short distance.
The Harrier GR Mk.3 has more engine power than the earlier GR Mk.1, and is equipped with
a laser range finder and target designator
(a device that uses laser reflection to precisely measure the distance and position of a target and displays it in the cockpit) on the
nose to improve attack accuracy.
Because the Harrier is a V/STOL aircraft, it
does not require a long runway and can be operated from frontline bases without support facilities.
