A legendary masterpiece reborn as a plastic model
The original prototype was a giant resin cast kit released in 1986.
This "Evil God Soldier", which is located at the origin of Kaiyodo's sculptures, has a body sculpted using a variety of materials and a bellows section that incorporates perspective expression, and its innovative techniques and sense were received with great enthusiasm in the hobby scene at the time.
38 years later, on the 60th anniversary of Kaiyodo's founding, the work is finally being revived as a plastic kit.
The huge prototype was 3D scanned and then resized.
All parts have been refined while retaining the texture of the materials originally used to create the figure, including clay, springs, and aluminum foil.
The kit is molded in a bronze color, so it will have a heavy, stately finish just by assembling it, even without painting it.
