[E6] AH-64D Apache Longbow 1/72
Description
The AH-64D Apache Longbow is an advanced version of the AH-64A Apache, an all-weather attack helicopter developed and adopted in accordance with the U.S. Army's Advanced Attack Helicopter (AAH) program. The radar-equipped version was called the AH-64D Apache Longbow, while the radar-less version was called the AH-64C.
However, at the end of 1993, the AH-64C designation was abolished, and all versions came to be called the AH-64D Apache Longbow, regardless of whether they were equipped with radar or not.
The most distinctive sensor on board is the Fire Control Radar (FCR), also known as the Longbow Radar, which is mounted on the top of the main rotor mast. This enables target detection, identification, and automatic selection of attack targets, and integrated system management gives this new generation attack helicopter excellent control capabilities during combat.
