[E10] F-15E Strike Eagle 1/72
Description
The F-15 Eagle is the main fighter of the United States Air Force and is said to be the strongest air superiority fighter. In December 1969, the Air Force selected McDonnell Douglas to develop the next generation air superiority fighter, the F-X, which would be the successor to the F-4 Phantom II, and the first aircraft made its first flight on July 27, 1972. Although the aircraft is slightly larger than the F-4, its weight is lighter than the F-4 due to the use of titanium alloys and composite materials, and it boasts excellent flight performance and combat capabilities thanks to its powerful engine and state-of-the-art fire control system. The first production model of the Eagle was the F-15A, and the two-seater F-15B was also produced in parallel. Then, from the 446th aircraft, the F-15C and the two-seater F-15D were produced. The F-15C is a model in which a fuel tank was added inside the fuselage of the F-15A, which had plenty of space, and the maximum takeoff weight was increased accordingly.
